What it does
When you ask, the agent reads your past Claude Code and Codex prompts from the last N days (ignoring prompts the agent wrote for itself), then sorts what you want into focus areas, open asks and standing rules. Each item keeps your own words with the date and time you typed them. The results are saved to claude-mem's My Work view as suggestions you can keep, rename, merge or dismiss.
Great for
- Developers who use claude-mem and want a summary of their recurring goals and frustrations over the past month
- People who keep losing track of requests they made across many agent sessions
- Anyone refreshing previously saved goals in My Work without re-mapping the whole window
Skip it if
- Users who do not run claude-mem or do not want their prompt history read and summarised, since it scans local transcript folders and stores quotes of your prompts
- Shared or sensitive machines, because saved quotes can contain private or confidential text typed into prompts
- Situations needing exact, complete task tracking; the map is an interpretation and may miss or misjudge items
Try asking
- “Map my prompts from the last 31 days and save my goals to My Work”
- “What am I asking for across my recent sessions?”
- “Refresh my owner goals with anything new since the last snapshot”
- “Show me the rules I keep repeating when I work with agents”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Pick a specific window with --start and --end when you want a past month rather than the last 31 days
- Review the excluded-agent-written-prompts.md file to check that the filter removed only agent-written text
- Use the since option to update an existing snapshot instead of re-mapping everything, which saves time and keeps earlier quotes
