What it does

This skill teaches an AI agent to work with a local copy of your Notion pages and databases. The agent can refresh the local archive from the Notion desktop app's cache or from the Notion API, then search pages, run read-only SQL queries for counts and structure, and export pages to Markdown files. Once installed, the agent checks how fresh the archive is before answering recent questions and reports date ranges and source limits.

Get better results

  • Run a freshness check (notcrawl status) before answering questions about recent Notion content, and prefer desktop sync unless you specifically need the API
  • Keep NOTION_TOKEN scoped to only the pages you want archived, and avoid pasting it into chat
  • Ask for exact counts through SQL and for topic questions through search, and check the reported date span in answers
