What it does
When a stock jumps or drops sharply, this skill makes the agent run four parallel research sub-tasks covering company events, regulation and policy, industry rivals, and market sentiment. It then combines the findings into a dated timeline, ranks which events could explain the move, and says whether the move looks like a real business change or just noise, so an investment thesis may need review. It is built for a quick answer, roughly 10 to 15 minutes, not a deep investment report.
Great for
- Investors who hold or watch a stock and want to know why it moved after a large daily or weekly swing
- Analysts who need a fast first pass on news around an earnings release before deeper work
- People who see a headline and want to check whether it matters
Skip it if
- Full investment research or valuation, which the skill itself says belongs to other tools; the output is not a substitute for professional advice
- Thinly covered micro-cap or newly listed stocks, where the skill may find no explaining news and the result can be unreliable
- Anyone expecting the output to be a trading signal; the skill explicitly leaves trading decisions to the user
Try asking
- “Why did XYZ Corp fall 12% over the last three days? Run news pulse with a 14-day window.”
- “Explain the 6% rise in ABC Holdings after its earnings release and tell me whether the investment thesis needs review.”
- “Check recent news, rival moves and analyst sentiment for this stock ticker before my meeting tomorrow.”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- State the company name or ticker, the time window in days, and the exact price move and period, so the agent does not have to ask.
- Review the sources and the data-gap section before acting, since web-sourced news can be wrong or mislabeled.
- Note that the skill references files and skills that are not included in this single SKILL.md, so it may need the full repository to run as written.
