What it does
This skill lets the agent set up a repeating task. You type /loop followed by a prompt, optionally with an interval such as 5m or every 20m, and the agent runs the prompt immediately, then schedules follow-up checks. With an interval it creates recurring scheduled jobs; without one it decides when to check again, up to about an hour between checks, and stops when the task is complete or blocked. /loop list shows active jobs and /loop clear cancels them all.
Great for
- Developers who want to keep an eye on a build, deploy, or pull request without checking by hand
- Anyone who wants a periodic reminder or status check run by the agent
- Users who understand that scheduled jobs keep firing until they are cancelled
Skip it if
- Tasks that must never repeat or act unattended, because each tick re-runs the prompt with the agent's tools and recurring jobs continue until cleared
- Situations needing exact-to-the-second timing, since intervals are rounded to whole minutes and cron granularity
- Users who cannot easily check or clear scheduled jobs, since cancelled jobs are only removed by /loop clear or the agent's delete tool
Try asking
- “/loop check the build”
- “/loop 5m check the build”
- “/loop check the PR every 30m”
- “/loop list”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Start with a short interval and a clearly worded prompt, then run /loop list to confirm the job was created.
- Use /loop clear as soon as the watch is finished so recurring jobs do not keep running.
- Say 'keep doing this permanently' only when you really want the job to survive restarts, since that makes it durable.
