What it does
When a mission, task, or dashboard points to a specific part of a Markdown document, such as a particular section heading, this skill tells the agent to run a bundled script that pulls out just that section. The agent gets the exact text it asked for instead of reading the whole file or guessing at line numbers. It works on any file in a folder tree, not only files inside OpenRig's context library.
Great for
- Developers using OpenRig missions or slices that reference Markdown spec sections by heading
- Teams whose planning documents are organised with H2 and H3 headings and need precise section lookups
- Agent users who want reliable section extraction that respects code blocks and nested headings
Skip it if
- General document editing or writing, since the skill only reads sections and does not change files
- Files that are not Markdown or do not use H2/H3 headings for structure, because addresses only target H2 and H3 levels
- Sensitive files you do not want a local script to open, since it reads whatever path it is given
Try asking
- “Load the #proposal section from slices/09-source-cleanup/SPEC.md in my mission folder”
- “Pull the setup/install subsection from docs/guide.md for me”
- “Get the H2 'Risks' section, including its child sections, from planning/roadmap.md”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Quote addresses in shell commands, as the skill instructs, so special characters are not misread.
- Use --root to point at the mission folder so relative references resolve correctly.
- Use file.md#h2-slug/h3-slug for a single subsection rather than the full H2 span if you only need less text.
