What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent to think about crypto futures markets in terms of leveraged positions that get forcibly closed (liquidated) when price moves too far against them. When asked, the agent explains how liquidation prices are calculated, how to read a liquidation heatmap showing where those closures are concentrated, and how clusters might act as price magnets, cascade triggers, or later support and resistance. It also includes sample Python functions for estimating clusters and generating simple 'magnet', 'cascade risk' and 'post-liquidation' signals.
Great for
- Crypto traders who already use leverage and want a structured way to read liquidation maps
- Analysts or developers prototyping liquidation-based indicators for crypto markets
- Students learning how leverage and maintenance margin affect liquidation prices
Skip it if
- Anyone making real trading decisions with money they cannot afford to lose: the skill presents liquidation 'magnet' and 'stop-hunt' ideas as fact, but the file gives no backtest or evidence that these signals predict price.
- Non-financial uses or general crypto questions: the skill is narrow and its estimation functions are placeholders that depend on data the user must supply.
Try asking
- “Explain where the long and short liquidation clusters might sit for BTC if price is around $66,000 and what a cascade risk looks like”
- “Show me how liquidation price is calculated for a 10x long at $65,000 with 0.5% maintenance margin”
- “Interpret this liquidation heatmap data and tell me whether the nearest cluster above or below is larger”
- “Walk me through how a large liquidation event could become a support or resistance level”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Ask for the calculation assumptions (maintenance margin, leverage mix) and treat estimated cluster maps as approximations, not observed order books
- Pair the analysis with your own risk limits and position sizing; do not act on 'magnet' signals alone
- Provide real liquidation data if you want results grounded in current markets rather than illustrative numbers
