What it does

Once installed, the agent gains a large finance research toolkit: it can backtest trading strategies across 11 market engines, run factor and options analysis, pull market data from roughly 29 sources, and analyze a broker trade journal to find the rules behind your past trades. It can also produce HTML or PDF reports and list symbols that match those rules. It is research tooling, not a trading bot, and it does not place orders by itself.

Great for

  • Quantitative researchers who want to test strategies across A-shares, HK, US, crypto and other markets
  • Retail traders who want a review of their own trade history and its patterns
  • Developers building finance analysis workflows on top of MCP-compatible agents

Skip it if

  • Anyone expecting guaranteed or financial advice: backtests on historical data do not predict future returns and the output is research only
  • Users who cannot tolerate sending data to third-party market and LLM providers, since the skill fetches from the internet and some features send requests to an LLM API

Try asking

  • “Analyze my broker CSV export and tell me which behaviours hurt my returns”
  • “Backtest a simple moving-average crossover on HK and US stocks over the last five years”
  • “Compare the Alpha Zoo factor benchmarks for momentum signals on A-shares”
  • “Generate an HTML report summarising my shadow-account rules and today's matching signals”

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip agent.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip agent.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Start with free sources (yfinance, akshare, OKX) so no API key is needed, and add keys only when you need premium data
  • Treat backtest and shadow-account results as hypotheses to test, and check for overfitting before relying on them
  • Keep API keys in environment variables rather than pasting them into chat
