What it does

Once installed, the agent can help manage a legal hold, which is a formal company instruction to preserve documents and data because a lawsuit or investigation is expected. It drafts the hold notice as a Word file, updates a tracking log of holds for each matter, schedules the next refresh reminder, and produces a status report across all matters. Before issuing, refreshing or releasing a hold, it checks that the matter has already been intaken and logged, and it asks for explicit confirmation before anything is sent or written.
