What it does

Once installed, the agent can work with whiteboards in Feishu/Lark cloud documents: export a board as a preview image, SVG, or source code (Mermaid/PlantUML), or read its raw structure. It can also create or change board content from Mermaid, PlantUML, SVG, or native formats, and it follows step-by-step workflows for building complex diagrams or editing existing boards. It relies on the lark-cli command-line tool and an npm helper package to do the actual work.

Great for

  • Teams that keep architecture or process diagrams on Feishu/Lark whiteboards and want the agent to draw or update them
  • People who need a Feishu whiteboard exported as an image or SVG for a doc or slide
  • Developers who already write Mermaid or PlantUML and want it turned into a Lark whiteboard

Skip it if

  • Users without a Feishu/Lark account or access to the target document, since the skill cannot work without authorization (the skill itself cannot be used offline)
  • Overwriting a non-empty existing whiteboard: the skill says a full rebuild may occur and asks for confirmation, so blind bulk edits risk losing content
  • Editing ordinary Feishu document text, spreadsheets, or Base tables, which are handled by other skills (lark-doc, lark-sheets, lark-base)

Try asking

  • “Export the whiteboard in this Feishu doc as a preview image”
  • “Turn this Mermaid flowchart into a Lark whiteboard”
  • “Add a new box to the existing architecture diagram on my whiteboard”
  • “Export the whiteboard as SVG so I can put it in a presentation”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Lark Whiteboard EditorInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    lark-whiteboard.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip lark-whiteboard.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip lark-whiteboard.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Name the exact document or whiteboard and say whether you want a read-only export or a change, so the agent picks the correct path.
  • For existing boards, ask for a preview export first and review the result before approving any overwrite.
  • Provide Mermaid, PlantUML, or SVG code directly when you have it; this gives the most predictable results.
