What it does

This skill teaches an AI agent how to work with plain Markdown (.md) files stored in Feishu/Lark cloud drive, using the official lark-cli command-line tool. Once installed, the agent can upload or create a .md file, read its contents, replace parts of it with a pattern match, overwrite it entirely, or compare a remote version against another version or a local draft. It explicitly does not convert Markdown into online Feishu documents, and it does not handle file search, permissions, comments, moving or deleting files, which are routed to a companion drive skill.

Great for

  • Teams that keep Markdown notes, specs or docs as files in Feishu Drive and want an agent to update them
  • Developers automating publishing of generated Markdown reports into a Feishu folder or wiki location
  • Users who need to compare a remote Markdown file with a local draft before overwriting it

Skip it if

  • Converting Markdown into an editable Feishu docx document, since the skill says to use a different import command for that; the skill does not cover it
  • Purely local Markdown editing with no Feishu involvement, which the skill says it should not trigger on
  • Risky bulk or regex edits to important live files without review, because patch works by downloading, replacing locally and re-uploading the whole file, so mistakes overwrite the live file

Try asking

  • “Read the contents of the Markdown file at this Feishu Drive link and summarise it”
  • “Create a new file called release-notes.md in my Feishu folder with this text”
  • “Replace every occurrence of the old API URL with the new one in the Feishu Markdown file boxcnxxxx”
  • “Compare the remote version of design.md in Feishu with my local draft design-local.md”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 6 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    lark-markdown.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip lark-markdown.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip lark-markdown.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give the full Feishu URL for folders, docs or wiki nodes; the CLI converts it to a token, but do not pass doc or sheet URLs to the folder parameter.
  • For regex patches, escape special characters such as parentheses and dots in the pattern, as the skill's examples show, to avoid matching the wrong text.
  • Use user identity by default for personal cloud files and check the error hint before retrying, since the skill advises stopping on permission or quota errors.
