What it does

Once installed, the agent acts as a law-study coach. You paste a practice hypothetical and your IRAC answer (or ask for a generated practice hypo), and it returns structured feedback: which issues you spotted or missed, whether your rule statements are accurate, whether you applied rules to facts, how your essay is organized, and a rough pass/borderline/not-yet band. It gives at most a couple of labeled example phrasings and is designed never to rewrite your essay or provide a full model answer. It also keeps a running tracker file of your sessions and surfaces patterns after three or more sessions.

Great for

  • Law students practicing IRAC or CRAC writing for 1L, 2L or 3L exams
  • Students who want structural feedback on their own writing rather than a finished answer
  • Study groups that want a consistent rubric for practice essays

Skip it if

  • Real legal problems: the skill is built to refuse and redirect anything that sounds like a real lease, ticket, deadline or dispute to a legal aid or lawyer referral service, since it is study-only and not legal advice
  • Subjects or jurisdictions the agent does not know well: it says it can grade structure but cannot verify the rules, so rule accuracy still needs checking against your outline or casebook
  • Graded exam submissions where you need authoritative accuracy: the skill itself notes its citations and rules may be fabricated or wrong and must be verified

Try asking

  • “Grade my IRAC: here is the hypo about a contract dispute and my answer.”
  • “Check my essay on negligence and tell me what issues I missed.”
  • “I wrote this torts answer, give me feedback on structure and rule statements.”
  • “--generate-hypo for a practice property law question, then grade my answer.”

Get better results

  • Paste the full hypo along with your answer so the grader can check which issues were actually on the face of the facts.
  • Keep your CLAUDE.md updated with your current classes and exam format so feedback matches your course.
  • Verify any rule or case the grader flags as VERIFY against your casebook before relying on it, and do the rewrite yourself.
