What it does
This skill teaches the agent the llms.txt convention, a proposed plain-text Markdown file placed at a site's root that summarises the site and points AI systems to its most important pages. Once installed, the agent can fetch a site's existing llms.txt (and llms-full.txt), check it against the format rules, and report problems such as missing sections, relative URLs or broken links. It can also crawl a site and draft a new llms.txt from scratch.
Great for
- Website owners who want AI assistants to describe their business accurately
- SEO or GEO consultants auditing client sites for AI discoverability
- Developers adding a machine-readable site summary to a docs or product website
Skip it if
- Sites where you do not control the root domain or cannot publish a file there, since the skill cannot make AI systems read the file
- Anyone expecting guaranteed citations or rankings; the skill's benefits are claims in its text and are not verified by the files
- Crawling sites you do not own or have permission to scan, since the skill fetches pages from the web
Try asking
- “Check whether example.com has a valid llms.txt and list any format problems”
- “Generate an llms.txt for my business website by crawling its main pages”
- “Create an llms-full.txt with page-level key facts for our documentation site”
- “Review my existing llms.txt and suggest better descriptions for each page”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent the exact domain and state whether you want validation only or a new file written, since generation writes files locally.
- Review generated descriptions and key facts before publishing, because the agent drafts them from crawled pages and may get details wrong.
- Only point the skill at sites you own or are authorised to analyse, as it fetches many URLs.
