What it does

When asked to test a website or web app, the agent opens it in a controlled browser, explores pages and features the way a user would, and looks for bugs, UX problems and console errors. For each issue it finds, it records reproduction evidence: annotated screenshots, step-by-step screenshots and, for interactive bugs, a video, then writes everything into a structured report that can be handed to the responsible team.

Great for

  • Developers or QA staff who want a fast first pass at finding bugs in a staging or local app
  • Product teams preparing a structured bug list with reproducible evidence before a release
  • Anyone who needs an agent to log in to a site and walk through core flows

Skip it if

  • Testing sites you do not own or have permission to test, since it logs in, clicks forms and creates or deletes data
  • Production apps with real customer data, where creating or editing records could cause harm
  • Non-web software such as desktop or mobile native apps, which this skill does not cover

Try asking

  • “Dogfood vercel.com and find issues”
  • “Run a QA bug hunt on http://localhost:3000 focusing on the billing page”
  • “Exploratory test our signup flow and produce a report with repro videos”
  • “Sign in to user@example.com on staging.example.com and find UX issues”

    dogfood.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip dogfood.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip dogfood.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give the target URL plus any focus area, such as a specific page, and mention authentication up front so the agent can prepare credentials.
  • Use a local or staging URL when possible, and avoid running it against production data.
  • Review the generated report.md and screenshots, since saved auth-state.json may contain session cookies and should be deleted when done.
