What it does

This skill gives an AI agent the working habits of a senior C# and .NET developer. Once installed, when you ask for help with an ASP.NET Core API, Entity Framework Core database code, or a Blazor web component, the agent follows established patterns: async code with cancellation tokens, dependency injection, nullable types, DTOs instead of raw database entities, and a Result pattern for errors. It also loads detailed reference notes on modern C#, ASP.NET Core, EF Core, Blazor and performance when relevant.

Great for

  • Developers building or maintaining .NET 8+ web APIs with Minimal APIs or controllers
  • Teams using Entity Framework Core who want migrations and queries handled carefully
  • Developers starting a Blazor Server or WebAssembly app who want consistent structure

Skip it if

  • Non-developers or anyone who will deploy generated code to production without review, since the skill produces code that must be tested and checked by a person
  • Projects not using .NET, where the guidance will not apply
  • Teams that already have strict internal architecture rules that conflict with the skill's CQRS/MediatR and Result-pattern defaults

Try asking

  • “Create a .NET 8 minimal API endpoint that returns a product by id with cancellation support”
  • “Add an EF Core entity and generate a migration for an orders table, then review it before applying”
  • “Build a Blazor component that loads a list of customers and manages its state”
  • “Refactor this C# service to remove blocking .Result calls and use async/await”

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 6 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    csharp-developer.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip csharp-developer.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip csharp-developer.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Ask for the project type up front (Minimal API, controllers, Blazor Server or WASM) so the agent loads the right reference notes.
  • Always review EF Core migration files before applying them, as the skill's own checkpoint advises, to catch unintended drops.
  • Treat the generated tests and 80% coverage target as a starting point and run them yourself in your own environment.
