What it does

This skill teaches an AI agent to use a command-line tool called cli-anything-anygen, a wrapper around the AnyGen OpenAPI service. Once installed, the agent can create generation tasks from natural language prompts (for example slides, documents, websites or diagrams), check their status, wait for completion, and download the results. It also manages local project files, configuration such as the API key, and undo/redo history, and it prefers JSON output so it can parse results reliably.

Great for

  • Developers who want an agent to batch-generate slides or documents through the AnyGen service
  • Power users who prefer scripted, repeatable generation over a web interface
  • Teams building automated content pipelines that need JSON-formatted command output

Skip it if

  • People who do not have an AnyGen account or API key, since the generation service cannot be used without one
  • Anyone who expects the skill to work offline, because generation depends on the remote AnyGen API
  • Users who want a finished design without reviewing it, since the output comes from an external generator and is not checked by this skill

Try asking

  • “Create a 10-slide investor pitch deck about our Q3 results and download the file when it is ready”
  • “Generate a diagram showing our customer onboarding flow and save it to my project folder”
  • “Upload this reference PDF, then create a document in the same style”
Step-by-step guide: how to use AnyGen CLI SkillInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 1 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    cli-anything-anygen.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip cli-anything-anygen.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip cli-anything-anygen.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Use --json on every command so the agent can parse results, and use absolute paths for file operations
  • Use the status command for non-blocking checks, or poll/run when you want the agent to wait for completion
  • Review generated files before sharing them, and keep your API key out of shared project files
