What it does
Once installed, the agent can turn a pile of litigation documents (such as a production, a matter folder, or uploaded files) into a chronology: a dated list of events with duplicates merged, each event tagged red, yellow or grey for how important it is to the case theory, and gaps noted where sources could not be read. It can also produce variants for a statement of facts or a single witness. It is written for legal professionals, and it checks whether documents obtained through disclosure can lawfully be used before proceeding.
Great for
- In-house litigation counsel who need a matter-centric timeline tied to their case theory
- Associates or paralegals building a chronology from an eDiscovery production with Bates citations
- Lawyers preparing a statement of facts, reserve or settlement memo, or deposition prep timeline
Skip it if
- Anyone wanting a legally verified chronology without review: the output is AI extraction and can miscall significance or miss events, so a lawyer must check the red-tagged entries
- Matters not already logged in the matter log: the skill refuses to run until a conflicts check and matter intake are completed
- Using documents obtained through disclosure for other cases or commercial purposes, which can breach implied undertakings or protective orders
Try asking
- “Build a chronology from the production in the Acme matter, tagged from the plaintiff's perspective”
- “What happened when? Pull events from the matter folder for the Smith dispute”
- “Create a witness-specific timeline for the operations director using --format=witness-jones”
- “Update the working chronology with new documents and show me what changed since the last version”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Set the side (plaintiff or defense) in your configuration before running, or state it per run, so the red, yellow and grey tags reflect the right perspective
- Always review the red-tagged entries and the Gaps section yourself before relying on the chronology in any filing or advice
- Confirm the disclosure-use check honestly: if documents came from discovery, verify the use is permitted under the protective order or local rules
