What it does
Once installed, the agent reviews a business plan that touches customer retention, customer segmentation, customer success team size, or customer success hiring, and interrogates it the way a retention-focused Chief Customer Officer would. It asks six questions, such as whether gross retention (not just net retention) is healthy, what the top reason customers leave is, and which customer you would fire today. It then produces a structured verdict (ship, sharpen, or block) with next steps. The skill also points to three helper Python scripts that analyse customer data files if you provide them.
Great for
- Founders or operators deciding whether to approve new customer success headcount
- Teams whose net retention looks good but whose gross retention or churn is worrying
- Leaders preparing a board update that includes a retention figure
Skip it if
- Anyone wanting a verified financial or retention analysis: the benchmarks and thresholds in the skill are opinionated and the scripts' outputs are not checked here, so treat results as prompts for discussion, not facts
- Non-business uses, since the skill is specific to SaaS-style customer success planning
Try asking
- “/c-level-agents:cco-review We want to hire four more CSMs this quarter to cover enterprise accounts”
- “Review our board slide: net retention is 112% but customers are complaining more, is that a problem?”
- “Should we re-segment our customers into tiers and drop the smallest accounts?”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Start with gross retention data rather than net retention; the skill's first question assumes you can supply it.
- Run the scripts on anonymised or aggregated data, since they read customer files you provide.
- Treat the thresholds (for example 90% or 95% gross retention) as one team's opinion and adjust them to your market before acting on a verdict.
