What it does
When installed, the agent can look inside an Azure resource group, list its resources and how they connect (networks, data flows, identities, configuration links), and draw a Mermaid diagram of that architecture. It then writes a markdown document with an inventory table, the diagram, and notes on possible issues. It asks you to choose a resource group first if you don't name one.
Great for
- Engineers who inherit an Azure environment and need a map of what is there
- Teams documenting or reviewing existing cloud architecture
- Anyone who wants a readable diagram of resource relationships without drawing it by hand
Skip it if
- Users without access to an Azure subscription, since it cannot read anything without credentials (it would produce nothing useful)
- Situations where the resource group contains sensitive configuration you should not expose, because the generated markdown file may include names, IP ranges and settings that get shared or committed to a repository
Try asking
- “Create an architecture diagram for my resource group rg-prod-web”
- “List my Azure resource groups and help me pick one to document”
- “Show how the App Service, Function App and SQL database in rg-orders connect to each other”
- “Generate a markdown architecture report with a resource inventory for rg-data-platform”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Use a read-only Azure role or account so the agent can only inspect resources, not change them.
- Review the generated markdown before sharing it, and remove IP addresses, names or settings you do not want exposed.
- Name the resource group in your request to skip the selection step and get a faster result.
