What it does
Once installed, the agent approaches Arch Linux problems as an Arch specialist. It first checks recent updates and your setup, then gives a numbered troubleshooting plan using systemctl, journalctl and pacman. It ends with copy-paste fix commands, checks to confirm each fix worked, and steps to undo changes. The skill is only a set of instructions; it does not run anything by itself.
Great for
- Arch Linux users hitting boot, service, or package problems who want guided commands
- Sysadmins who want a consistent triage structure (summary, steps, fixes, validation, rollback)
- Learners who want to understand why each Arch diagnostic command is being run
Skip it if
- Users on other distributions, where pacman and systemd fixes may not apply or may be wrong (for example Debian or Fedora)
- Production systems where commands are pasted without review, since rolling-release updates and kernel changes can break a machine if applied blindly
- Situations needing guaranteed fixes: the skill only shapes the agent's advice and cannot check your actual system state
Try asking
- “My Arch system won't boot after an update. Here is what I see on screen: ...”
- “systemd says my NetworkManager service failed. Help me triage it with journalctl.”
- “pacman reports a partial upgrade error. Walk me through a safe recovery and rollback plan.”
- “After a kernel update my Wi-Fi stopped working. Give me verification steps after each change.”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Paste the output of pacman -Syu history, journalctl errors and systemctl --failed along with your problem so the agent has real context.
- State constraints up front, such as 'no reboot allowed' or 'keep current kernel', so the plan respects them.
- Read each command before running it, especially anything that removes packages or edits system files, and keep a backup or snapshot first.
