Background and scene builder
Generate clean, compositing-ready backgrounds and environments with the right perspective, light direction and empty space for your subject.
Fill in your details
Values are inserted into every prompt below. Nothing you type leaves your browser.
5 field(s) left — unfilled variables stay as {{placeholders}}.
1Match the subject before generating
Note three things about the subject photo you'll place in the scene: camera height (eye level, low, high), light direction (e.g. from the left), and lens feel (wide vs tight). A background that disagrees on these will never composite convincingly.
2Generate the empty scene
Ask for an empty scene; asking for 'a room for my product' often adds a random product.
Empty {{scene_type}} in {{era_or_style}} style at {{time_of_day}}, with {{foreground_space}} left clear for a subject to be added later. Camera at eye level, natural perspective, main light coming from the left, soft realistic shadows, slightly shallow depth of field so the background falls gently out of focus, no people, no products, no text, aspect ratio {{aspect_ratio}}.3Composite and blend
Place your cut-out subject, then add a contact shadow under it, match colour temperature with a curves or white-balance adjustment, and add matching grain or blur. Many editors (Photoshop, Canva, Affinity) can do this; some AI editors can also harmonise the lighting in one step.
Example input
Mid-century living room, late afternoon, clear space on a walnut sideboard, 4:5.
Example output
Empty living room with a large window in mid-century modern style at late afternoon, with the centre of a walnut sideboard left clear for a subject to be added later. Camera at eye level, natural perspective, main light coming from the left... Expected: a warm room with a clean sideboard top; check that the sideboard's perspective matches your product photo's camera height.
Troubleshooting
- Objects keep appearing in the clear space: describe the surface as 'bare and empty' and use your tool's negative prompt if available.
- Perspective doesn't match: regenerate with the camera height and lens feel of your product photo.
Known limitations
- Generated architecture may contain impossible details (windows that don't line up, warped furniture); inspect at full size.
