How to use the Sales Enablement agent skill
Updated · written with AI from the project's own documentation and checked against our catalogue data
The sales-enablement skill is a set of instructions and reference files that teaches an AI agent to work like a B2B sales enablement specialist when you ask for sales materials. It covers pitch decks, one-pagers, objection handling docs, demo scripts, cold call and voicemail scripts, battle cards and win-loss analysis. This guide shows you how to install it, how to phrase requests so it triggers, what it needs, and how to get useful drafts out of it.
Quick start
- 1Download the ZIP. Get the sales-enablement ZIP from the page you are reading.
- 2Unzip into a skills folder. Place the sales-enablement folder in ~/.claude/skills/ for personal use, or in .claude/skills/ inside a project.
- 3Or upload in the Claude apps. In the Claude apps, open Settings → Capabilities → Skills and upload the skill.
- 4Describe the asset you need. Ask in plain words, for example for a pitch deck, one-pager, battle card or cold call script, and name the buyer.
- 5Answer the agent's context questions. Provide your value proposition, sales motion, asset needs and current materials, or point it to your product-marketing context file.
- 6Check claims before use. Verify every number, price and customer quote, and mark unproven advantages as hypotheses before reps use the draft.
What the sales-enablement skill makes the agent do
Once installed, the agent follows the skill's process when you ask for sales collateral. It first checks for any saved product-marketing context, then asks about your offer, your buyers and your sales motion before drafting anything. The skill is written for business-to-business sales and assumes business buyers and sales cycles.
The skill covers these kinds of assets: a 10-12 slide pitch deck outline, one-pagers and leave-behinds, objection handling notes, demo scripts, cold call and voicemail scripts, and win-loss analysis. It pushes for claims a salesperson can back up with evidence, and it expects competitive material to say where you lose.
- Pitch deck outline following an 11-step framework, from current-world problem to next steps
- One-pager with problem, solution, three differentiators, one proof point and a call to action
- Objection handling entries with the real concern behind each objection and a follow-up question
- Demo scripts with scenes, timing and talk tracks, such as a 30-minute discovery call
- Cold call and voicemail scripts built around a four-beat opener
Install the sales-enablement skill
Download the ZIP for the skill from the page you are reading. Unzip it into one of these locations, depending on how you want to use it.
For all of your projects, unzip it into your personal skills folder at ~/.claude/skills/. For one project only, unzip it into a .claude/skills/ folder inside that project. The skill files should sit in a sales-enablement folder that contains SKILL.md.
If you use the Claude apps instead, open Settings, go to Capabilities, and upload the skill under Skills.
- Personal use: ~/.claude/skills/
- Single project: .claude/skills/ inside the project folder
- Claude apps: Settings → Capabilities → Skills, then upload
~/.claude/skills/sales-enablement/SKILL.mdTrigger the skill with natural requests
You do not need a special command. Describe the asset you need in plain language, and use the kinds of phrases the skill is written to recognise. The skill responds to requests such as a sales deck, a pitch deck, a one-pager, a leave-behind, objection handling, a demo script, a talk track, a sales playbook, a battle card, a win-loss analysis, a cold call script or a voicemail script.
Say who the material is for and what stage the deal is at. The skill tailors its output to persona, deal stage and use case, so a deck for a CTO should differ from one for a VP of Sales.
- "Draft a 10-slide pitch deck outline for a mid-market HR software company selling to VPs of People."
- "Write a one-pager my champion can forward to their CFO after our discovery call."
- "A prospect just said we're twice the price of a competitor. How do I respond to this objection?"
- "Why are we losing deals to Competitor X? Help me set up a win-loss analysis."
- "Write a cold call opener and a voicemail script for finance directors at logistics firms."
Give the agent the context it will ask for
If you have a product-marketing context file, the agent reads it first. The skill looks for .agents/product-marketing.md, then .claude/product-marketing.md, then the older product-marketing-context.md name. Anything it already finds there, it will not ask you again.
Otherwise, expect questions about four things: your value proposition and differentiators, your sales motion (self-serve, inside sales, field sales or hybrid, plus deal size and cycle length), the specific assets you need and who will use them, and what materials exist today and what reps ask for most.
Use it for live deals and reps' questions
When a rep brings one objection from a live deal, the skill is built to answer that deal rather than hand back a generic library. Give it the specific situation, including who said what and when the next call is. Use it for coaching too: ask for a role-play scenario to practise a response.
Ask for evidence-aware wording. The skill says reps repeat what they are told to buyers who can check it, so unverifiable advantages should be written as hypotheses along with what evidence would confirm them.
Safety notes: scripts and network access
According to the skill's listing, it does not run scripts and does not use the network. It lists no required software or accounts. It is a set of written instructions and reference documents: SKILL.md plus files for cold call scripts, deck frameworks, demo scripts, the objection library, one-pager templates and win-loss analysis, plus an evals file.
Still, review any drafted claim, price or customer quote before it reaches a buyer. The skill's own rules say that claims a buyer can disprove in a minute cost more than they gain.
- Runs scripts: no
- Uses network: no
- Requires: nothing listed
- Licence: MIT
Tips for getting better drafts
Give the agent real material. Paste call notes, CRM loss reasons, customer quotes or win/loss interview summaries, because the skill asks for evidence. Name the buyer type, since the skill emphasises different points for technical buyers, economic buyers and champions.
Keep the output scannable. The skill's standard is that a rep should find an answer in about three seconds mid-call, so ask for short bullets and bold headers if you plan to use the document live.
- Start a fresh request for each asset type rather than mixing a deck, a script and an objection doc in one prompt
- For competitor comparison pages, use the competitors skill instead; for marketing website copy, use copywriting; for cold emails, use cold-email; for offer structure such as bonuses or guarantees, use offers
- For buyer interviews or churn research, use customer-research
What people use it for
- Drafting a first-pass 10-12 slide pitch deck outline for a founder preparing a B2B sales meeting
- Writing a one-pager leave-behind for a champion to use with their internal committee
- Building an objection handling quick-reference table for reps on live calls
- Preparing a 30-minute discovery call script with timed scenes for an account executive
- Setting up a win-loss analysis to find out why deals are lost to competitors
Frequently asked questions
How do I install the sales-enablement skill?
Download the ZIP from the page and unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ for personal use, or into .claude/skills/ inside a project. In the Claude apps, you can instead upload it under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
Does the sales-enablement skill require anything else to run?
The skill's listing says it requires nothing and does not run scripts or use the network. It is made of instruction and reference files that the agent reads.
Is the sales-enablement skill free?
The skill is released under the MIT licence, as stated on its listing. Check the licence text in the download for the full terms.
What is the difference between this skill and the competitors skill?
The sales-enablement skill covers internal sales materials such as decks, one-pagers, objection docs and battle cards. Public competitor comparison pages belong to the competitors skill, which the sales-enablement skill refers to for its evidence rules.
Will the skill write cold emails or website copy?
No. The skill says cold outreach emails belong to the cold-email skill and marketing website copy belongs to the copywriting skill. It does cover cold call and voicemail scripts.
Why does the agent ask so many questions before drafting?
The skill asks for your value proposition, sales motion, asset needs and current materials so the output fits your buyers and deal stages. If you already have a product-marketing context file, the agent reads it first and asks only for what is missing.

Our verdict
Use this skill if you are a founder, sales lead or sales-minded marketer who needs a first draft of a pitch deck, leave-behind, objection doc or battle card for B2B buyers. Pick something else if you need public competitor comparison pages, website copy, consumer sales materials or a finished deck without your own review, since the skill itself points those to other tools and expects you to verify every claim.
