About
Percent-encode or decode URLs and query values (encodeURIComponent vs encodeURI), and parse query strings into an editable table.
How to use it
- 1Choose Encode, Decode or Parse query string.
- 2For encoding, pick encodeURIComponent for values or encodeURI for whole URLs.
- 3Paste your text — the result updates live.
- 4In Parse mode, edit parameters in the table and copy the rebuilt URL.
- You give
- Text, a URL, or a query string like a=1&b=2
- You get
- Encoded/decoded text, URL parts and a decoded parameter table
- Good to know
- Malformed % sequences are left as-is when decoding. Parse mode handles http(s) URLs and bare query strings; repeated keys are listed separately.
- Privacy

FAQ
encodeURIComponent or encodeURI?
Use encodeURIComponent for a single value going into a query string or path segment — it escapes & = ? / too. Use encodeURI for a complete URL so its structure stays intact.
Should spaces be %20 or +?
%20 works everywhere. + means a space only in form-encoded query strings, which is why Decode has a “Treat + as space” option.
