What it does
When you ask the agent to visualize something, it reads the material you point it at and writes a short text summary in the terminal, plus a designed HTML page where every fact is labelled with its source (a file line, a quote from your plan, a URL, or general knowledge). Code gets a system map of its parts and flows, physical plans get a to-scale drawing with costs, and other topics get a hand-built concept page. The included scripts check the page's syntax and render the output deterministically.
Great for
- Developers who inherited a codebase or service and want to see how its parts connect
- Hobbyists planning a physical setup such as a studio, drum kit or room layout with an order list
- Anyone who wants an explanation of an idea, process or timeline as a visual page with sources cited
Skip it if
- Generating a standalone decorative illustration or header image, which is a different skill (Art) (wrong tool for the job)
- Hand-drawn style sketches, which the description assigns to a different skill (Excalidraw)
- Sensitive systems where you would rely on the map as proof of correctness: the page is an aid to understanding and the skill itself notes that a human must check it against the code
Try asking
- “visualize the monitoring layer in this repo”
- “draw my drum kit setup from the plan folder”
- “map this system and show me the main risks”
- “visualize the trade-offs between these two databases”

Add it to your agent
Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip Visualize.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip Visualize.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Name a specific folder, file or plan to get a focused map rather than a broad one
- Use the --no-html flag if you only want the console summary, and --out-dir to save the page somewhere specific
- If you share the HTML on a host that blocks scripts, upload the baked copy rather than the raw page
