What it does
This skill is an automation instruction set for a bot that watches new pull requests on the vercel-labs/skills CLI repository. When a pull request arrives, the agent reads the PR's description and code patch, checks whether it genuinely fixes an existing bug with a sound regression test, and optionally searches open issues for possible matches. If the fix qualifies, it posts a short comment tagging a maintainer, and stays silent otherwise. It is designed to be conservative and to avoid speculative findings.
Great for
- Maintainers of the skills CLI who want a first-pass screen of incoming bug-fix PRs
- Teams building similar PR triage automations who want a worked example of strict, evidence-based criteria
Skip it if
- General code review or merge decisions: the skill explicitly does not establish merge readiness, complete review, or passing checks
- Repositories other than the skills CLI without adapting the tool names, labels and workflow paths, since it is written for one specific automation setup
Try asking
- “Triage the newly opened pull request number 123 on this repository for a bug-fix candidate”
- “Check whether this PR's fix for a wrong install path is a focused bug fix with regression coverage”
- “Search open issues for possible matches to the defect fixed in this pull request”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- This is designed for an automation workflow with specific tools; it will not work as a standalone prompt without those tools being available.
- Review the workflow's tool permissions and credentials separately, since SKILL.md itself does not define them.
- Treat the posted comment as a maintainer handoff, not a verdict: the skill itself warns that CI status and labels do not establish validity.
