Superior Thinking Skill
Re-solves a big task as a far smarter, unconstrained mind would, then turns the gaps into changes.

What it does
When installed, the agent pauses before carrying out a large task such as designing an architecture, a system implementation, or a strategy. It first states the scope it thinks you mean, then imagines how a vastly more knowledgeable mind with no inherited habits or invented limits would approach the same task. It compares that approach with its own plan and turns each difference into a concrete change or a named real limit. The skill is described as built for big problems, not small one-function questions.
Great for
- Engineers planning how a whole system or architecture should be built
- Leads reviewing a strategy who want to check for unexamined assumptions
- People exploring whether they are thinking too small about a project
Skip it if
- Small, single-function questions, where the files say the approach gives no benefit
- Tasks where the agent's plan already exists and the skill runs inline, since the files warn this tends to produce the same plan with stronger wording
- Situations needing a deliberate attack on a plan or constraint analysis, which the files route to other skills (RedTeam, FirstPrinciples)
Try asking
- “Superior: how should this whole notification system be built?”
- “What would a genius do differently with our data pipeline architecture?”
- “Are we thinking too small about how we implement our billing subsystem?”
- “Analyze how this big multi-service product should be implemented, using a Superior pass.”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Name the scope clearly (a feature, a subsystem, or the whole system) so the skill does not have to guess; it will ask a short interview if the scope is unclear.
- Ask for a full, blind pass when you already have a plan, so the reasoning is not anchored to your draft.
- Treat invented-looking constraints as hypotheses to check, and keep any limits you actually set, since the skill is designed to respect those.
