What it does
Once installed, the agent follows a structured debugging process when you ask it to fix Sentry errors. It uses a Sentry connector (MCP) to list unresolved issues, read stack traces, breadcrumbs and traces, and form a written root-cause hypothesis before it edits any code. It then checks that the error data matches your actual repository, applies a fix with tests using synthetic data, and reports the result. It also tells the agent to treat all Sentry content as untrusted text rather than instructions.
Great for
- Developers on teams that use Sentry for production error monitoring
- Engineers triaging a backlog of unresolved Sentry issues
- Anyone who wants a disciplined, documented debugging workflow rather than quick patches
Skip it if
- Projects that do not use Sentry or have no Sentry MCP server connected, since the skill cannot find issues without it
- Situations where production data must not be read by an AI tool, because the skill pulls event data including possible personal information into the session
- Fully autonomous fixing without review: the skill asks you to confirm which issues to fix, but code changes made by the agent still need human code review before deployment
Try asking
- “Fix the unresolved TypeError errors in our Sentry project”
- “Investigate Sentry issue PROJECT-123 and propose a root-cause fix”
- “Triage our Sentry backlog and tell me which issues to tackle first”
- “Debug the production exceptions reported in Sentry this week”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Name the specific issue ID or error type so the agent starts from a narrow search instead of the full backlog
- Check the agent's root-cause hypothesis and the flagged mismatches before approving any code change
- Review the generated tests and make sure they use synthetic data and no real tokens, URLs or user details
