What it does
Once installed, the agent helps draft or restructure a scientific paper from the author's own notes and evidence. It detects the paper type, target section, language and journal (e.g. Nature, Nature Communications), then loads matching guidance on argument structure, abstracts, introductions, results, discussion and first-submission materials. It is told to flag missing evidence with placeholders rather than invent content. It does not polish existing prose for language only or write post-decision reviewer responses; those are separate skills.
Great for
- Researchers preparing a first draft of a Nature-family manuscript section
- Chinese-speaking authors writing English papers who want Nature-style structure
- Authors who need a submission-readiness checklist and package outline
Skip it if
- Replacing the author's own scientific judgement: the skill structures arguments but cannot verify results, so unsupported claims still need checking against data
- Language-only polishing of existing text (the README points to a separate nature-polishing skill)
- Responding to reviewers after a decision (points to a separate nature-response skill)
Try asking
- “Draft an abstract for a Nature Communications submission from my notes and key results”
- “Restructure the discussion section of my paper so claims match the evidence”
- “Compress my main text to fit Nature's length limits and tell me what moves to supplementary material”
- “Create a first-submission checklist and deliverable matrix for my manuscript”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Provide your actual results, data boundaries and target journal up front so the agent can set the axis values correctly.
- Review the stated detected axes (task, section, journal, language) at the start and correct them if wrong.
- Check every claim and citation the draft produces against your own data and the journal's current official author guidelines, since the bundled guidance is not official policy.
