What it does
Once installed, the agent can take a pile of existing material such as a CLAUDE.md file, a Cursor rules file, or Obsidian, Notion or Apple Notes exports, split it into chunks, and propose a LifeOS destination for each chunk with a confidence score. High-confidence chunks can be approved in bulk, medium and low ones need your confirmation, and identity or ideal-state files require a yes on each individual chunk. Each committed chunk gets an HTML comment recording its source file, section and timestamp.
Great for
- New LifeOS users migrating years of notes or AI instructions into the LifeOS structure
- People who want a reviewed, traceable import rather than a bulk copy
- Users moving rules from other AI tools such as Cursor into their own setup
Skip it if
- Single-file edits, which the skill explicitly excludes; a normal edit is simpler and safer
- Conversational interviews meant to fill gaps, which belong to the separate /interview skill
- Anyone without a LifeOS installation, since the scripts it calls live in LIFEOS/TOOLS and it writes into LifeOS files; misrouted content can end up in personal identity or goal files if reviewed carelessly
Try asking
- “/migrate bring in my old Obsidian vault from ~/Documents/Vault”
- “Import my CLAUDE.md and Cursor rules into LifeOS”
- “Preview the routing for my Apple Notes export with a dry run before writing anything”
- “Walk me through the low-confidence chunks from my Notion export one at a time”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Run with --dry-run first to see the routing table and counts before anything is written to the approval queue
- Use the walk-through path for personal goals, wisdom and identity content rather than the fast approve-all path
- Review skipped chunks and UNCLEAR items individually; the tool enforces key protections but the 40% walk-through rule is a conversational expectation, not enforced in code
