What it does

Once installed, the agent can convene a simulated board of marketing advisors modeled on well-known marketers such as Seth Godin, David Ogilvy, April Dunford and Alex Hormozi. For a question you bring, it gives each seated advisor's take through that person's documented frameworks, highlights where they disagree, and ends with a synthesized recommendation. It is explicitly a persona simulation, not the real people, and it labels its output that way.

Great for

  • Founders or marketers facing a major strategic decision who want conflicting viewpoints before choosing a direction
  • Marketers who want a quick second opinion from a single named expert, such as a headline review in the style of Ogilvy
  • Teams preparing a launch, pricing change, or positioning review who want trade-offs surfaced explicitly

Skip it if

  • Anyone who needs the actual views of these people today: outputs are simulations grounded in their published work and may be out of date or inaccurate, and the skill does not verify quotes
  • Situations needing hands-on execution such as writing final ad copy or building funnels; the skill itself points to other skills for that work
  • Users treating the output as authoritative marketing advice without testing against their own customer data

Try asking

  • “Convene a council session to review whether our pricing change should be a discount or a new bundle”
  • “What would Seth Godin say about our launch plan for this newsletter?”
  • “Quick take: what would Ogilvy think of this landing page headline?”
  • “Have the council review our positioning against our two main competitors and debate the trade-offs”

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip marketing-council.zip -d .claude/skills/

Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Give the council concrete context: the decision, the stakes, and what you have already tried, so the advisors can apply frameworks to your specifics.
  • Ask for a quick take with one advisor when you only need a single lens; reserve full council for major decisions since its output is long.
  • Check the disagreement map and the evidence it names before acting, and verify any factual claims about the real marketers yourself.
