What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent to manage a shared library of agent skills using the skills-manager-cli tool. Once installed, when you ask the agent to add, remove, update, or turn on a skill for a specific agent, it runs the Skills Manager command-line tool instead of copying files by hand, so the library keeps track of where each skill came from, which presets it belongs to, and which agents it is deployed to. It also checks what is installed, searches a marketplace for skills, and handles conflicts safely by reporting them rather than deleting files.
Great for
- Developers who use several AI coding agents (such as Claude Code, Codex or Cursor) and want one shared skill library
- Users who already run the Skills Manager desktop app and want their agent to control it
- Teams managing skills on a server with the CLI installed
Skip it if
- People who only use one agent and a handful of skills; copying a skill folder manually is simpler
- Machines without Skills Manager or its CLI, since the skill stops and does nothing useful
- Installing skills from sources you do not trust, because installed skills can instruct the agent to do things
Try asking
- “Install the react-best-practices skill from the skills.sh marketplace and deploy it to Claude Code and Codex”
- “Show me which skills are installed and which agents each one is deployed to”
- “Check whether any of my installed skills have updates available”
- “Remove the old pdf skill from my library and undeploy it from Cursor”
Install in 3 steps

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Ask the agent to show the skill list or details after installing so you can confirm what changed
- Review the source repository of any skill with a low install count before installing it
- If a deployment is refused because a folder already exists, let the agent report the path and choose to adopt or move it rather than deleting it
