What it does

Once installed, the agent can open a separate, isolated Chrome test profile and interact with web pages the way a person would: reading the page structure, clicking, filling forms, checking console and network activity, and taking screenshots to confirm a deploy or reproduce a bug. It can also read and drive native macOS apps through their accessibility interface, and record and replay workflows. The skill requires evidence from the real page before the agent claims something works.

Great for

  • Developers checking that a website deploy looks and behaves correctly at desktop and mobile widths
  • QA or front-end engineers reproducing visual, animation or console-error bugs in a real browser session
  • Anyone who needs the agent to inspect a page behind a login in a sandboxed browser profile

Skip it if

  • Simple web scraping or large-scale crawling, which the skill itself says belongs to other tools; it is slower and riskier than purpose-built scrapers
  • Pixel-only GUI automation, which the skill directs to a separate Computer Use tool
  • Use on your personal Chrome profile or accounts you have not set up for testing, since the skill is built to isolate work from your default profile but a misconfigured run could still touch real sessions

Try asking

  • “Verify that the latest deploy of my site shows the pricing cards correctly at 1440 and 390 pixels wide and take screenshots”
  • “Debug why this page is blank in the browser and check the console and network errors”
  • “Record the animation on the checkout flow and tell me if there is a flicker”
  • “Compare the headline facts on these three product pages and report the differences”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Interceptor Browser and Mac ControlInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    Interceptor.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip Interceptor.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip Interceptor.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Start by asking for a specific check, such as a named page, route or element, so the agent knows what evidence to capture
  • Keep the interceptor-test Chrome profile separate from your everyday browser and avoid logging into real accounts unless you intend to
  • Review any login, OAuth or consent step yourself, since the skill hands those to you rather than completing them
