What it does

Once installed, the agent can turn a topic or your supplied data into an infographic image. It sends a description to an image model (Nano Banana 2 via OpenRouter), has a separate AI model review the result against a quality threshold for the document type, and regenerates if improvements are requested within an iteration limit. It can optionally gather candidate facts first using Perplexity Sonar, but the skill does not independently verify those facts.

Great for

  • Presenters or teachers who need a quick visual summary of statistics or a process
  • Marketers drafting social or campaign graphics that a human will review before publishing
  • Analysts who already have the numbers and want a visual draft

Skip it if

  • Final factual publications, since generated images can misstate numbers and research sources are not independently verified
  • Technical diagrams such as circuits, pathways or neural network architectures, where the skill itself recommends the scientific-schematics skill instead
  • Situations where paid API usage or sending content to third-party AI services is not acceptable

Try asking

  • “Make a statistical infographic of global renewable energy adoption rates, using research, saved as a PNG”
  • “Create a timeline infographic of our company milestones from 2010 to 2025 in a corporate style”
  • “Generate a marketing comparison infographic of our product features with a colorblind-safe palette”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Infographic GeneratorInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 8 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    infographics.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip infographics.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip infographics.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Review every final image at its display size and check all numbers against primary sources before use
  • Supply your own verified data in the request rather than relying on --research for accuracy-critical content
  • Use a higher document type such as marketing or report when quality matters, and expect more API calls
