What it does

Once installed, the agent produces a self-contained HTML slide deck laid out like an investment-banking pitch book: cover with confidentiality ribbon, market context, trading comparables, precedent transactions, valuation football field, DCF sensitivity tables, strategic alternatives matrix, recommendation and disclaimers. It also enforces a citation log that labels each number as public filing, vendor data, management-provided or assumption, and adds non-reliance disclaimers so outputs are treated as discussion materials rather than advice.

Great for

  • Finance teams preparing board or M&A discussion materials in a banker-style format
  • Analysts who need comps, precedents and football-field charts laid out consistently
  • Anyone who wants sourced, clearly labelled figures and disclaimers built into a deck

Skip it if

  • Seed or VC fundraising decks: the skill's own guidance points to a different skill for that, since its conventions are for sell-side and board materials
  • Anyone who would present invented or unverified numbers as fact: the skill asks the agent to label assumptions, but the user must still check sources before sharing
  • Use as investment advice: outputs are explicitly framed as discussion materials, not a substitute for professional advice

Try asking

  • “Build a 10-slide strategic alternatives discussion deck for our board with comps and a football field”
  • “Create a trading comparables and precedent transactions page for a sell-side conversation”
  • “Turn these management-provided figures into a DCF sensitivity slide with source labels”
Step-by-step guide: how to use IB Pitch Book BuilderInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 6 original files, the Apache-2.0 licence and an attribution note.

    ib-pitch-book.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip ib-pitch-book.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip ib-pitch-book.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Provide your own source-of-truth figures and as-of dates up front; the skill will not invent undisclosed market data.
  • Keep management-provided or confidential numbers marked as restricted before sharing the HTML file.
  • Remove the sample NorthPeak and Hartfield data from any output and check that every footer cites a real source.
