What it does

When installed, the agent can turn a named person (or a vague need, such as better decision-making) into a new reusable skill that captures how that person thinks: their mental models, decision heuristics, expression style, anti-patterns, and stated limits. It first asks a few questions, estimates cost, creates a folder of research files, and runs several parallel research sub-agents that search the web and optionally analyze local books, transcripts or subtitles before writing the final persona SKILL.md.

Great for

  • Creators who want a reusable 'thinking advisor' persona modeled on a specific author or thinker
  • Developers exploring how to build multi-agent research pipelines and self-contained skill folders
  • Users with their own books, transcripts or essays who want a persona built mainly from those primary sources

Skip it if

  • Anyone expecting a cheap one-click run: the document warns a full distillation can cost tens of dollars on top-tier models and is a long multi-agent, multi-round task.
  • Creating personas of private individuals without consent, or using the output to impersonate real people; the skill itself has no such safeguard beyond its own honesty notes.
  • Use cases needing verified facts: the output is a synthesized interpretation of web-sourced material and can contain errors or outdated information.

Try asking

  • “Distill Charlie Munger's thinking into a perspective skill I can use for investment reasoning”
  • “Build a thinking advisor for making better business decisions when information is incomplete”
  • “Create a perspective skill from the transcripts and book PDFs I'm uploading”
  • “Update my existing perspective skill for this author with their latest year of public work”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Nuwa Persona DistillerInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 9 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    huashu-nuwa.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip huashu-nuwa.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip huashu-nuwa.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Provide your own primary sources (books, full transcripts) for higher quality; the skill says these outrank web summaries.
  • Start with the 'quick' research tier to test the output before committing to the costly standard or deep tiers.
  • Review the generated research files and persona for contradictions and outdated claims before relying on it.
