What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent to review a web page for performance problems caused by too many network requests, such as many separate CSS, JavaScript, image or icon files. Once installed, the agent counts the requests a page makes, looks for ways to combine or inline resources, and recommends fixes like bundling files or using SVG sprites. It is also instructed to confirm the real bottleneck with tools like browser DevTools, Lighthouse or field data before suggesting changes.
Great for
- Front-end developers investigating slow page loads
- Teams preparing a performance review before launch
- People who want a checklist-style audit of asset loading
Skip it if
- Deep server or database performance problems, which this checklist does not cover
- Sites where the bottleneck is already known to be images or JavaScript execution, since the advice targets request count rather than payload size
- Users expecting automatic changes to their code; the skill describes recommendations and does not itself run measurements
Try asking
- “Count the HTTP requests on my product page and tell me which ones I can combine”
- “Audit our homepage for render-blocking assets and suggest what to bundle or inline”
- “Review this HTML and CSS for unnecessary requests and explain the latency cost of each”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Give the agent DevTools, Lighthouse or field data output so it can verify the bottleneck instead of guessing.
- Share the page's HTML or project file paths so it can point to exact resources to change.
- Remember that HTTP/2 reduces the cost of many small requests, so ask for a measured before-and-after comparison.
