What it does

Sets up a structured folder of personal data (voice notes, content ideas, drafts, contacts, interactions, todos, goals) that the agent reads and updates when you ask. Once installed, it can draft posts in your saved voice, pull up background on a contact before a meeting, log interactions, and flag people you haven't contacted in a while. It also includes small Python scripts that compile a weekly review and list stale contacts from the data files.

Great for

  • Founders or creators who publish regularly and want drafts that match a consistent voice
  • Professionals who want a simple personal CRM and pre-meeting briefs kept in plain files
  • People comfortable setting up a local folder of JSON and Markdown files as their personal data store

Skip it if

  • Anyone who does not want personal contacts, meeting notes or goals stored in plain text files, since the data lives in files you must maintain; the skill assumes you populate them yourself
  • Shared or team environments where contact data about third parties could be exposed, since it stores names and interaction history
  • Users expecting it to sync with email, calendar or social platforms; the files reviewed do not show such integrations

Try asking

  • “Help me write a LinkedIn post about AI agents in my own voice”
  • “Prepare me for my call with Sarah Chen using my notes on her”
  • “Run my weekly review and tell me which contacts I should reach out to”
  • “Turn idea 3 from my ideas file into a draft outline”
Step-by-step guide: how to use Digital BrainInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

Install in 3 steps

  1. 1

    Download the skill

    The ZIP contains the 15 original files, the MIT licence and an attribution note.

    digital-brain-skill.zip
  2. 2

    Add it to your agent

    Claude Code (all projects)

    mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip digital-brain-skill.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/

    Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)

    mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip digital-brain-skill.zip -d .claude/skills/

    Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

  3. 3

    Ask for the task

    No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.

Get better results

  • Fill in identity/voice.md with real writing samples before asking for content, since the skill tells the agent to read it first
  • Keep data in JSONL and archive rather than delete, as the skill instructs, so pattern analysis stays useful
  • Review the scripts before running them, since they read and write your local data files; the excerpts reviewed only show reading logic
