What it does
When installed, the agent reviews JavaScript code for console.log, console.debug, console.table and similar debugging output that would be visible in a live product. It suggests removing them, wrapping them in environment checks, using a logging service instead, or configuring build tools to strip them. It also reviews client-side scripts and browser behaviour for related issues and describes how to verify a fix in the browser.
Great for
- Front-end developers preparing a web app for release
- Teams doing a pre-deployment code review
- Developers new to production logging practices
Skip it if
- Projects where console output is intentionally part of the product or needed for debugging a live incident, since removing it could hide useful diagnostics
- Non-JavaScript codebases, because the guidance is specific to console statements in JavaScript
Try asking
- “Scan my React components for console.log statements I should remove before deploying”
- “Review this client script and tell me which console calls leak sensitive data”
- “Explain how to strip console statements automatically in my Vite build”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Point the agent at specific files or folders so the review stays focused
- Ask it to check your build configuration as well as the source code, since build-time stripping is often the cleanest fix
- Keep console.error if you rely on it for error tracking, and say so up front
