What it does
When you ask about a wireless, networking, satellite or communications research topic, this skill makes the agent search your own reference sources first (Zotero library, Obsidian notes, local PDF folders), then academic databases such as IEEE Xplore, ScienceDirect and the ACM Digital Library. It then groups the papers by technical theme and extracts details like assumptions, methods, results and limitations, with venue tiers and preprint labels. The file text is a skill definition; the actual searching behaviour depends on the agent and any connected tools.
Great for
- Graduate students or researchers starting a related-work section in wireless, networking or satellite topics
- Engineers who want a quick landscape summary of congestion control, rate adaptation or beamforming papers
- People who already keep a Zotero library or Obsidian vault and want the agent to use it
Skip it if
- Generic machine learning or software/API documentation questions, which the skill itself says should go to a general literature skill
- Final academic citations without checking: the agent may misread papers or miss sources, so every claim should be verified against the original publisher page
- Users who cannot share their search queries with external databases, since external search sends topic terms to third-party sites
Try asking
- “Write a related-work summary on LEO satellite resource allocation from 2022 to now — sources: all”
- “Survey congestion control approaches for Wi-Fi mesh networks, separating transport-layer and MAC-layer work”
- “Give me the foundational and recent papers on CSI feedback for 5G beamforming, top venues only”
- “Summarize my Zotero and Obsidian notes on V2X scheduling and find gaps in the literature”

Claude Code (all projects)
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills && unzip comm-lit-review.zip -d ~/.claude/skills/Claude Code / Agent SDK (this project only)
mkdir -p .claude/skills && unzip comm-lit-review.zip -d .claude/skills/Claude apps (web/desktop): Settings → Capabilities → Skills → Upload skill, and choose the ZIP.

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- List the sources you want with '— sources:' (for example 'sources: zotero,local') to limit searches and avoid external queries
- Place your PDFs in a papers/ or literature/ folder in the project so the agent can read them first
- Specify a year range if you need a narrower review; otherwise the skill returns both older foundational and recent papers
