What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent to review JavaScript for code splitting, a technique where a web app only downloads the code needed for the current screen. When it is installed, the agent checks large bundles, new dependencies and slow-loading routes, then suggests moving heavy modules behind dynamic import() calls, route boundaries or user actions, with loading states. It is guidance from a checklist rather than a tool that changes files on its own.
Great for
- Front-end developers maintaining a single-page app that feels slow to load
- Teams reviewing pull requests that add large third-party libraries such as chart or editor packages
- Developers learning how dynamic import() and route-based splitting work
Skip it if
- Static sites or server-rendered pages with little client JavaScript, where the gains are small
- Projects that need the agent to run build tools or measure performance; the skill itself only provides review guidance and does not run profilers or bundlers
Try asking
- “Review this React router file and tell me which routes should be lazy-loaded.”
- “Check whether adding this chart library to the dashboard bloats the initial bundle, and suggest a dynamic import.”
- “Explain how route-based code splitting works in my Vue single-page app.”
- “Find heavy imports in this component that could load only when the user clicks a button.”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Share the entry file, router config and the list of dependencies so the agent can spot static imports that could be deferred.
- Pair the review with a bundle visualizer report, since the skill recommends analysing bundles but the agent cannot measure them itself.
- Ask the agent to confirm that lazy-loaded parts still render a fallback and keep the first meaningful paint intact.
