What it does
This skill teaches an AI agent how to add app logos to the Dozzle log viewer codebase. When a Docker container's image shows no icon or the wrong one, the agent looks up the image name, fetches a matching icon from the dashboard-icons project, shrinks WebP files, adds name aliases to the code, adds test cases, runs the tests and formatter, and checks icon file sizes before committing.
Great for
- Maintainers or contributors to Dozzle who are batch-adding container app icons
- Developers who want an agent to handle the repetitive steps of icon contributions, including tests and PR formatting
Skip it if
- Ordinary Dozzle users who only want a different icon; the skill's notes say they can use the dev.dozzle.icon label instead, since it edits the project's source code.
- Private or internal company images, which the skill's rules say must not get logos, because they are not publicly known.
Try asking
- “Add an icon for the linuxserver/sonarr container image that currently shows no logo”
- “The image bbernhard/signal-cli-rest-api shows the wrong icon; add an alias so it resolves to signal”
- “Add icons for these three GitHub issues, one PR per issue, each ending with Closes #number”

Ask for the task
No special command needed — the agent reads the skill's description and loads it when your request matches. Try one of the prompts above.
Get better results
- Let the agent check the dashboard-icons tree first rather than guessing URLs, since variants may exist in only one format.
- Review every downloaded icon visually before committing, as the skill itself requires.
- Keep each batch to one commit titled feat(icons): add icons for <apps>, per the skill's rules.
