What it is

dsh-market is a plugin market that runs inside DeepSeek Harness (DSH). It adds a tab on the Plugins page where you can browse a community catalog, search it, and install plugins or themes with one click. It also includes tools for favorites, groups, notes, updates, and backup and restore of your plugin setup.

  • Search the community catalog by category and install a plugin in one click
  • Install a community theme and switch between themes without restarting
  • Group installed plugins into named sets and switch a whole set on or off
  • Export your profile's plugin list as JSON and restore it on another machine
  • Check for plugin updates and update one or all of them

Great for

  • DSH users who want to find and install community plugins without using the command line
  • People who manage many installed plugins and want groups, notes, or enable/disable toggles
  • Users who want to back up or move their plugin list to another machine
  • Users who want to browse community themes and switch between them

Not ideal for

  • People who do not use DeepSeek Harness, since the market only runs inside that host
  • Users on older DSH hosts below 0.1.0-rc.6, where the market disables itself
  • Users who do not want their comments or discussion widget to contact giscus.app and GitHub, since opening a plugin's discussion thread does so
Step-by-step guide: how to use dsh-marketInstall, first run, examples, tips and FAQs

How to get it

  1. 1

    Install with a package manager

You'll need: DeepSeek Harness (DSH) with dsh web 0.1.0-rc.6 or newer

Install on regular dsh web (replace web with your profile name if different)

dsh plugin --profile web add dshmarket
  2. 2

    Run it

    • Install the market, either through DSH Desktop's Settings → Plugins or with the command above.
    • Restart dsh web if the host's instructions ask you to.
    • Open the Plugins page on dsh 0.2.1+ and select the Plugin Market tab next to Installed, or use Settings → Plugin Market on older hosts.
    • Search or browse the catalog and click install on a plugin, then confirm the source.
  3. 3

Get the most out of it

    • Add the catalog as a format-1 index source via Plugins → Discover → Index sources to use it in the host's Discover tab and the plugin_market agent tool.
    • Use Groups to organize installed plugins and switch a working set as one unit.
    • Add a one-line Notes description to installed plugins to remember why you installed them.
    • Use Backup & restore to export your plugin list before moving to a new machine.
    • Use the sidebar Plugin Market row for one-click access from anywhere.

Downloads

Strengths

  • Installs and updates plugins from inside the host with live progress and little manual setup
  • Keeps local state such as favorites, groups, and notes in your profile rather than sending them elsewhere, as the README states
  • Includes fallback routes for GitHub resources in the China download region

Trade-offs

  • The README describes a catalog of 4200+ plugins, but this is a self-reported figure and depends on the host version
  • Several features depend on the host version and profile setup, so behavior can differ between Desktop and plain dsh web
  • Install behavior on Desktop versus the web profile is confusing; the README warns that a command may report success while installing to the wrong profile
