Consistent character workflow
Keep the same character recognisable across many AI video shots with a character bible, a reference sheet and locked prompt blocks.
1Write the character bible
Use a chat model. The locked block is the most important output: it gets pasted unchanged into every prompt.

Mara, early 30s marine biologist, faded orange jacket and grey beanie; three coastal scenes.
Example output

Troubleshooting
- Face changes between shots: use one reference image consistently and avoid extreme angles or tiny faces in wide shots.
- Clothing colours shift under different lighting: name colours precisely and avoid strongly coloured lighting.
- Character looks different in different tools: stay within one tool for a project.
Known limitations
- No current method guarantees identity consistency; expect to regenerate shots.
- Do not use a real person's likeness without their consent, and check each tool's rules on public figures.
