How to use the Outline-Faithful Manifesto Deck agent skill
Updated · written with AI from the project's own documentation and checked against our catalogue data
The Outline-Faithful Manifesto Deck (skill name deck-ljg-present) is an agent skill that turns an outline or markdown document into a single self-contained HTML slide deck with large, bold, colour-block text. It keeps your original wording, paragraph order and headings unchanged, and only decides how text is split across pages and which colour theme to use. This guide covers what the skill does, how to install it, how to trigger it with plain requests, and what to check before you present.
Quick start
- 1Download the ZIP. Get the skill ZIP from this page.
- 2Unzip into the skills folder. Extract it into ~/.claude/skills/ for personal use, or into a project's .claude/skills/ folder.
- 3Or upload in the Claude apps. Go to Settings → Capabilities → Skills and upload the skill there.
- 4Paste your outline. Share your outline or markdown in the chat.
- 5Ask for a manifesto deck. Request a manifesto-style or big-text slide deck, and name a theme (black, red or yellow) if you have a preference.
- 6Open the HTML file. Open the single output file in a web browser and present it page by page.
What the skill makes the agent do
When the skill is active, the agent reads your outline or markdown and maps each element to a slide. A level-one heading becomes a full-page cover in the accent colour, level-two and deeper headings get their own page, and paragraphs and lists are placed on pages according to their length. The agent does not summarise, rewrite or add sentences. The only text change it makes is physical page splitting when a passage is too long for one slide.
The output is one HTML file with inline CSS and JavaScript. You open it in a web browser and move through the slides page by page. The skill does not add charts, images, icons or transition animations.
- Text stays word for word, in the same order.
- Long paragraphs are split across several pages, with a trailing ellipsis on the split pages.
- Each deck uses one colour theme: black, red or yellow.
- Pages with a single accent colour mark the opening, the closing and the section breaks.
Install the skill in Claude Code or Claude apps
Download the ZIP for this skill from this page. Unzip it so the skill folder ends up in your personal skills directory at ~/.claude/skills/, or in a project's .claude/skills/ folder if you want the skill available only inside that project.
In the Claude apps, you can instead upload the skill under Settings → Capabilities → Skills. Use this route if you are not working in a local folder.
The skill folder should contain SKILL.md, which tells the agent what the skill does. The package also includes example.md and example.html so you can see the expected input and output.
- Personal install: ~/.claude/skills/
- Project install: .claude/skills/ inside your project
- Claude apps: Settings → Capabilities → Skills
Trigger the skill with a natural request
You do not need special syntax. Paste or attach your outline or markdown and ask the agent to turn it into a manifesto-style or big-text slide deck. The skill is matched to requests about decks, manifesto slides, big slogans and talks, so describe what you want in ordinary words.
To choose a theme yourself, name it in the request. The skill treats an explicit instruction such as 'use red' or 'use yellow' or 'black background' as the final decision.
- Turn this outline into a manifesto slide deck with big bold text.
- Make a keynote-style deck from these notes, red theme.
- Build a critical talk deck from this markdown in yellow.
- Convert my speech draft into colour-block slides and keep my wording exactly.
How the agent maps your outline to slides
The agent follows fixed rules. Headings and short lines get a page to themselves. Paragraphs are sized by length: short ones stay on one page, medium ones are split one sentence per page, and long ones are cut into pieces of roughly 30 characters. Lists of up to four items show on one page. Longer lists are split across pages, and tables are split with the header repeated on each page. A horizontal rule (---) becomes a solid colour break page.
Theme choice follows the tone of the document. Reflective, argumentative or note-style text defaults to black. Manifesto, call-to-action or talk material (tagged or written in that tone) uses red. Satirical, warning or critical material uses yellow. A document uses only one theme.
- # heading: full-page accent cover
- ## and ### headings: their own page, with ### a size step smaller
- Paragraph of 30 characters or less: one page
- Paragraph of 30 to 80 characters with several sentences: one sentence per page
- List of 5 to 8 items: split into two pages
- Bold text and inline code are highlighted automatically
Open and present the deck
The result is a single HTML file. Open it in any modern web browser and page through it. Because the file is self-contained, you can keep it on your computer and present it offline, since the skill makes no network requests.
Check the page count and split points before you present. The skill's page splits are mechanical, so a sentence that breaks across pages may read awkwardly in a live talk. If that happens, adjust the source outline line breaks and run the request again.
- Open the HTML file directly in a browser.
- Use the page controls to move between slides.
- Review split points in long paragraphs before presenting.
What you need and safety notes
You need an AI agent that supports SKILL.md skills and a web browser to view the output file. The skill runs no scripts and makes no network calls, so it does not run code on your machine or send your text anywhere. It is licensed under Apache-2.0.
The skill is not a fit for every deck. It creates no charts or images, and it does not produce editable slide formats such as PowerPoint. It also cannot rewrite or summarise content, which is by design.
- Runs scripts: no
- Uses network: no
- Licence: Apache-2.0
- Output: one HTML file, not an editable PowerPoint file
What people use it for
- Turning a speech draft or talk notes into bold manifesto slides without rewriting the text.
- Creating a quick visual deck from a written blog outline for a short talk or livestream.
- Presenting a list of principles or calls to action, with each item on its own large-type page.
- Making a critical or warning-style talk deck in the yellow theme from existing notes.
Frequently asked questions
Is the Outline-Faithful Manifesto Deck skill free?
The skill is licensed under Apache-2.0, as listed on this page. Check the licence file in the source repository for the full terms before you reuse or redistribute it.
What do I need to use the deck-ljg-present skill?
You need an AI agent that supports SKILL.md skills, such as Claude Code or the Claude apps with skills enabled, and a web browser to open the resulting HTML file. The skill runs no scripts and uses no network.
Where do I install the skill?
Unzip the downloaded ZIP into ~/.claude/skills/ for personal use, or into a project's .claude/skills/ folder. In the Claude apps, upload it under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
Does the skill rewrite or summarise my text?
No. The skill is designed to keep titles, paragraphs and lists word for word and in their original order. The only change it makes is splitting long text across pages.
Can I get a PowerPoint file from it?
No. The output is a single self-contained HTML file. If you need editable slides such as PowerPoint, this skill is not the right tool.
How is it different from a general slide-making skill?
This skill focuses on large, colour-block, manifesto-style pages built from your exact text. It creates no charts or images and does not condense content, so it suits talks built on existing wording rather than data-heavy decks.

Our verdict
Use this skill if you have an outline or markdown notes and want bold, presentation-ready pages that keep your exact wording. Pick a different tool if you need charts, images, editable PowerPoint files or content that the agent should rewrite or summarise.
