How to use the Create and Share Feedback Form agent skill
Updated · written with AI from the project's own documentation and checked against our catalogue data
This guide explains the recipe-create-feedback-form agent skill, a short set of instructions that lets an AI agent build a Google Form for feedback and email its link to a list of people. It is aimed at event organisers and team leads who already use the gws Google Workspace command-line tool. By the end you will know what the skill does, how to install it, how to ask for it in plain language, and what to check before it sends anything.
Quick start
- 1Install the gws tool. Install and authorise the gws Google Workspace CLI for Forms and Gmail with your Google account.
- 2Load the required skills. Install gws-forms and gws-gmail next to recipe-create-feedback-form.
- 3Install this skill. Unzip the download into ~/.claude/skills/ or a project's .claude/skills/, or upload the ZIP under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
- 4Make a natural request. Ask the agent to create a feedback form and name the recipients and purpose.
- 5Check the recipients. Review the addresses and subject line before confirming, since real email will be sent from your Gmail account.
- 6Confirm the form link was shared. Check that the agent reported the responderUri link and sent it to the intended recipients.
What is an agent skill and what does this one do?
An agent skill is a folder containing a SKILL.md file that gives an AI agent specific instructions for a task. This one, recipe-create-feedback-form, is a short recipe: the agent creates a new Google Form titled something like "Event Feedback" using the gws command-line tool, reads the public form link from the response, and emails that link to recipients through Gmail.
The skill does not create forms by itself. It depends on two related skills, gws-forms and gws-gmail, which provide the underlying Google Workspace commands.
What you need before installing
The skill needs the gws command-line tool (Google Workspace CLI) and a Google account authorised for Google Forms and Gmail through gws. It also needs the gws-forms and gws-gmail skills loaded alongside it.
Without a Google Workspace account or the gws tool installed, the steps will fail.
- gws command-line tool (Google Workspace CLI)
- gws-forms skill
- gws-gmail skill
- Google account authorised for Google Forms and Gmail through gws
How to install the skill
Download the ZIP file from this page and unzip it. The skill is delivered as a single SKILL.md file. You can install it in one of two ways.
For a personal install, place the unzipped folder in ~/.claude/skills/. To limit it to one project, place it in that project's .claude/skills/ folder.
Alternatively, upload the ZIP in the Claude apps under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
- Personal: ~/.claude/skills/
- Single project: .claude/skills/ inside the project folder
- Claude apps: Settings → Capabilities → Skills, then upload the ZIP
How the skill creates and shares the form
The skill follows three steps. First, the agent creates the form with the gws forms command, setting the title to Event Feedback and the document title to Event Feedback Form. Second, it reads the responderUri field from the response, which is the public link to the form. Third, it sends that link using gws gmail +send, with the recipients, subject and body taken from your request.
The example below shows the form creation command exactly as written in the skill.
gws forms forms create --json '{"info": {"title": "Event Feedback", "documentTitle": "Event Feedback Form"}}'How to trigger the skill with a natural request
You do not need to type the commands yourself. Describe the outcome in plain language and name the people to receive it. The agent should load the skill when your request matches its description of creating a Google Form and sharing it via Gmail.
Good requests name the audience and the purpose, for example: "Make a feedback form for yesterday's workshop and email the link to attendees@company.com." Give the exact addresses you want used, because the agent sends to whatever recipients you supply.
- Make a feedback form for our event and email the link to attendees@company.com.
- Create a Google Form for team feedback and send it to the design team list I'll paste below.
- Set up an event feedback survey and share the form link with these three colleagues.
Safety: scripts and network access
This skill runs scripts and uses the network. It creates real Google Forms and sends real email from the user's Gmail account. Recipients receive the message as if you had sent it yourself.
Check the recipient list before you confirm. Do not use it for sensitive surveys sent to external contacts without reviewing the content and addresses first.
- Confirm every recipient address before the email is sent.
- Review the form title and subject line the agent proposes.
- Use only accounts and tools you are authorised to use.
Tips for better results
Make sure gws is installed and authorised before you ask for a form, so the first run does not fail partway through. If you need a different title, say so in your request, since the skill's example title is Event Feedback.
Keep recipient lists explicit and short for a first test, sending to your own address before a full list.
- Test with your own email address first.
- Name the form title in your request if the default is not suitable.
- Keep the gws-forms and gws-gmail skills installed alongside this one.
What people use it for
- Collecting attendee feedback after a workshop, conference or meetup
- Sending a quick team survey to colleagues without building the form by hand
- Gathering reactions to an internal event or training session
Frequently asked questions
How do I install the recipe-create-feedback-form skill?
Download the ZIP from this page and unzip it into ~/.claude/skills/ for a personal install, or into a project's .claude/skills/ folder to limit it to that project. You can also upload the ZIP in the Claude apps under Settings → Capabilities → Skills.
What do I need to run this skill?
You need the gws Google Workspace command-line tool, the gws-forms and gws-gmail skills, and a Google account authorised for Google Forms and Gmail through gws. Without these, the steps will fail.
Is the recipe-create-feedback-form skill free?
The skill is published under the Apache-2.0 licence. The source does not state any pricing, so check the gws tool and your Google Workspace plan for any costs of their own.
Can this skill create a form without the gws tool?
No. The skill uses the gws command-line tool to create the form and send the email, and it cannot create forms by itself.
Will the agent send emails without asking me?
The skill emails the form link to the recipients you supply, from your Gmail account. Review the addresses and subject before confirming, because the recipients receive real email.
What are alternatives if this skill does not fit my needs?
If you do not use gws or Google Workspace, you can build the form in Google Forms by hand and share the link yourself. The source does not compare this skill with other tools.

Our verdict
This skill suits event organisers and team leads who already run the gws tool with Google Forms and Gmail authorised and want a survey sent quickly. It is not suitable for people without a Google Workspace account or gws, or for sending sensitive surveys to external contacts without checking the recipients first.
